Background

In March 2005 God sovereignly drew together a team to create both a worship and relational environment conducive to His presence. With simplicity (acoustic guitar and bongos) we gathered weekly in a lounge room, waiting in God's presence. Our hearts were bowed under a heavy sense of His glory each Wednesday night for approximately a year without any thought of planting or planning. After that year the Lord hit the pause button for us to observe and define the core values and operating principles that had emerged. He was wanting us to be more descriptive than prescriptive. He was not wanting us to impose any blueprint of what we might perceive to be New Testament church. Rather He was wanting us to observe the flow of life that had occurred over that year.

The name, 'The Vine' is an attempt to describe the operating principles we have observed.
