Property - The Unfolding Story
At the date of writing unusual evidences of the will of God pointing to the potential purchase of the property have accumulated. Prophetic words and scriptures have come from as far away as the USA, UK, and locally through intercessors and prophetic people who are prayer-partners of the ministry.
Discussions have been held with the current owners and it is available for our purchase. As the property is not on the open market and is currently operating we are not free to be too specific.
Location: We can say that it is only an 80 minute drive from Tullamarine, Melbourne's international airport. The 3.5 acres of free-hold campus is secluded by 72 acres of rolling pastures and native bushland leased from the National Trust of Australia. It is built around an original colonial homestead and restored stables.
Conference Rooms: Room 1 - the main conference room offers space for up to 26 persons in a U shape / 18 persons Boardroom-style / 40 Classroom-style. Room 2 - the smaller conference room is suited for groups of 12 in a U shape / 10 Boardroom-style / 20 Classroom-style.
Accommodation: There are 15 double bedrooms on the property with a further 7 rooms (alternatively dorms for singles) approved for construction. All rooms have a direct dial telephone, work desk with modem connection and individually controlled reverse cycle air conditioning. Most importantly, they all have an en-suite and a very comfortable bed with great natural bush views out of the large bay windows. The lounge with its colonial architecture gives a cosy and relaxed ambience.
Leisure: For the more energetic there are nearby tennis courts and exclusive access to a serviced bushwalking track in 40 acres of reserve.
Games Room: Upstairs in the original stables building a well equipped games room houses an extensive Cricket and Rugby memorabilia collection. The Games Room has the potential to facilitate the organisation's mandate to establish a House of Prayer for All Nations. It is envisaged that this room will be devoted to 24/7 intercessory prayer and worship. On an annual roster basis volunteers from across the Australian prayer movement and beyond could eventually man this place of worship in offering a perpetual sacrifice to the Lord.
Office: There are two office areas, one suited to administration & reception and the other for a manager.
Furniture & Equipment: Sale of the property is on a walk-in walk-out basis. All furniture and equipment is included for: kitchen, bedrooms, lounge, dining, conference rooms, and offices. Conference rooms are equipped with electronic whiteboards, o/h projectors, and a business centre (computers, modem, printer, phones etc).
Suitability: The location, plant, equipment, and rural ambience provide the ideal environment for the conduct of the organisation's mission. The property was purpose-built for conferencing and is therefore suited to operating schools and retreats. The office space would also provide administrative capacity for a boutique publishing ministry and citywide conferences. As a niche training organisation the smaller capacity of the property, with the guaranteed option of limited expansion, suits its commitment to a more relational and informal ethos. The general ambience of the property and its environs is very much in harmony with the organisation's primary purpose as a provider of spiritual renewal.
Cost: Approximately $USD 2.3m ($AUD 3.0m) allowing for some limited working capital for the launch of the project, refurbishment, and expansion (7 extra rooms or dorms, sound and fine arts studios, and residence).
Finance & Administration: Lifemessenger International Ltd was originally incorporated on the 29th May 1996 as a company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Law of Victoria. On the 6th June 2000 it was successfully migrated, in the State of Victoria under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981, to the status of incorporated association as Lifemessenger Inc. (Registration no. A0039771T). As such it is a not-for-profit entity and has been endorsed as a religious institution (an income tax exempt charitable entity) by the Australian Taxation Office.
Lifemessenger has been incorporated for the primary purpose of disseminating Christian teaching through the spoken and written word. Its statement of purpose includes training, education, publishing, church planting, and missions. The focus is on the promotion of spiritual growth in the individual Christian and renewal throughout the larger Christian church.
Lifemessenger Inc has established a Fund
to receive donations for this project with very clear rules of operation (these are available on request). In addition to non-commercial loans it is envisaged that the purchase price of the property will be raised by this means.
