Background

In September 2002 there seemed to be a shift spiritually for this ministry. The Lord began to give fresh revelation and direction. First, a word was received from Ezekiel 34:11, 12, 23

"For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will search for my sheep and look after them. As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd."

We considered whether this meant stepping back into pastoral ministry, but found no release.
In November 2002 another word came from Ezekiel, but this time from chapter 17:22-24

"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I myself will take a shoot from the very top of a cedar and plant it; I will break off a tender sprig from its topmost shoots and plant it on a high and lofty mountain. On the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit and become a splendid cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its branches. All the trees of the field will know that I the LORD bring down the tall tree and make the low tree grow tall. I dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it."

In response to this and in line with our mission, we are therefore proposing, after much prayer and consultation, that a House of Prayer and Training Centre be established in a suitable location within Australia. It will function as a 'House of Prayer For All Nations' with a strong training emphasis for the 'Third Day' Church (see Hos. 6:1-2). It will be committed to the 'emerging church' both 'scattered' (the marketplace) and 'gathered' (the temple / house to house).

A Prayer and Training Centre with a Difference:

A House of Prayer for all Nations

• A place devoted to the Lord in ministry to Him and in praying for revival across Australia and the nations of the world.
• A place which will sow into the growing worldwide prayer movement.
• A place of teaching and renewal.
• A place where volunteer intercessors, worshippers, and musicians offer a perpetual sacrifice to the Lord, eventually on a 24/7 basis.

A Place of Intense Desire for God

• A place for those with a heart and intense desire for God.
• A place that will provide life-changing encounters with the Holy Spirit as well as solid revelatory truths from the Word of God.
• A place where the Holy Spirit will be given full liberty to move as He desires, whether in classes, tutorials, or elsewhere.
• A place where participants will be encouraged to welcome the Holy Spirit and to allow Him to have His way in their lives.
• A place where the study of the scriptures, and extended times of prayer and worship will advance a growing relationship with God.

A Place of Prophetic Activation

• A place devoted to the message of the Third Day Church (Hos 6:1-3):
  • A message of repentance, restoration, and revival.
  • A message of hope, calling the people of God to return to intimacy, to the heart of the Father and of the Bridegroom.
  • A message speaking to the strongholds that currently withhold revival and spiritual awakening.
• A place giving itself to a prophetic word for the spiritual release of the Australian church and beyond.
• A place where through its teaching, intercessory prayer, and worship will create an environment where individuals can be released into the prophetic anointing.
• A place which will be devoted to prophetically activating students as men and women of the Spirit, releasing them into their own unique gifts and callings.

A Place of Refreshing and Refocussing

• A place where, through its various schools and retreats, and through its relaxed ambience would become a place of refuge and healing for those who are weary or wounded from their church or marketplace involvement.
• A place of refreshing, refocussing, and as the Holy Spirit leads, recommissioning.
  

Academic Accreditation: Academic accreditation will be gained through an affiliation with Unity College, Canberra . This will give the organisation status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) within the Australian tertiary training system and release it from the constraints of the Higher Education(University) system. Awards will be issued up to Certificate IV and Diploma level. With RTO accreditation Australian students will qualify for Youth Allowance and Austudy benefits, and international students for entry into Australia .

This House of Prayer and Training Centre will not be:

• An academically oriented educational program for the training of professional clergy.
• A practical ministry oriented training program.
• Designed to service denominational, organisational, or sectarian agendas.
• Aligned to any particular local church, denomination, or movement.

The House of Prayer and Training Centre will be:

• An opportunity, regardless of age, gender, educational standard, denomination, vocation, or race, for Christians who are hungry for more of God to set themselves aside for a season of reflection, prayer, worship, fellowship, and the study of God s word.
• A schooling in the ways of God, with an emphasis on the Cross, brokenness, humility, and the life of the Spirit, including hearing the voice of God, prayer, intercession, and worship.
• A pursuit of God himself, in the power of the Spirit, through all the classic spiritual disciplines.
• An impartation of vision, passion, and wisdom not just the transfer of information.
• A connection with God s kingdom earth-purpose, and an opportunity to be better prepared to fulfil a role in the redemption and transformation of the nations.
• A House of Prayer for all nations where eventually worshippers, musicians, and singers can minister to the Lord 24/7.
• A place of renewal, re-education, and recommissioning for clergy, workers, and missionaries.
• A place of relationships and personal mentoring.
• Aligned to the current renewal and to a kingdom-revival ethos.
• A convergence of the prophetic and the marketplace.
• Under the supervision of respected national and international Christian leaders.
• A war-room hosting intimate gatherings of kingdom-leaders. In an atmosphere of worship and prayer it will catalyse new strategies of the emerging church, gathering and inspiring kingdom-agents in areas such as the arts, media, politics, and business. It will inspire new levels of creativity and new approaches to renewal and global transformation.
• A sending base for the planting of 'new wineskin' churches and for Houses of Prayer and Training Centres.
• A base of operations for conferences, writing and publishing.

It is envisaged that several 3-month schools and shorter intensives would be offered on-campus each year drawing from 7 different streams:

• School of the Spirit (learning the ways of God)
• School of Prayer & Intercession
• School of Worship
• School of the Prophetic
• School of Leadership (marketplace and emerging church)
• School of Biblical Worldview
• School of Creativity (streams: music, visual art, writing, entrepreneurship)
  

4-week, 2-week and 3-day on-campus intensives would also be available, plus various retreat offerings.

Opportunity for Global Change the Passion of Youth

Our day is a day of opportunity for global change. With the convergence of post-modern Western culture and the outpouring of God's Spirit now is the time to tap into our culture's underlying hunger for God and the passion of youth.

This House of Prayer will be a training environment with a difference. Coming out of an educational philosophy of impartation , emphasis will be placed on intimacy with God, relationships, and marketplace internships. It will dissolve the old clergy-laity / secular-sacred distinctions equipping and sending youth and marketplace leaders as kingdom-agents into the nations.

New Levels of Spiritual Passion and New Approaches to Church Planting

Devoted to raising up the next generation as world-changers, this new House of Prayer & Training Centre will inspire new levels of love for God, new levels of creativity, & new approaches to renewal, church planting, & global transformation.

As its primary value it will be devoted to offering 24/7 intercessory worship. This will be given as a perpetual sacrifice to the Lord for all nations.

Through its strong international links, speakers from around the world will bring a global perspective on what God is doing in our generation. It is envisaged the training centre will facilitate residential schools of no more than 20-40 students at any one time. It will offer highly distinctive alternatives to the current mainstream educational opportunities offered by traditional bible/theological colleges and universities.

Re-evangelising the West and Beyond

Its primary focus will be on the equipping and sending of kingdom-agents for the renewal and re-evangelisation of the Western nations (Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, NZ), our Jerusalem and Judea, and from there to all nations.

It is anticipated that this Centre will emerge, under God, as a prototype reproducible in other nations, growing into an international movement of self-governing prayer and training centres pioneering new paths for the emerging church.

Other centres will be established in strategic regions of the globe with a training/sending/church planting mandate focussing on 'new wineskin' churches.
