The Message
Lifemessenger is dedicated to carrying a 'now' word to the nations.
Peter exhorts us to be,
established in the present truth (2 Pet 1:12)
and Jesus said that
man lives by every
word that is proceeding from the mouth of God (Mtt 4:4).
There is a current word proceeding from the heart of God to this generation. Lifemessenger is dedicated to hearing this word and proclaiming it among the nations.
Our message is the good news of the government of God. Since the first century God's government (kingdom) has been radically breaking
in upon the government of man by the Spirit. Our message declares that the Lord Jesus Christ has ascended to the throne of the universe and is now present by His Spirit, actively and ultimately displacing all autonomous human government, both in the church and in society.
It is encapsulated in the call and commission of Jeremiah.
Jeremiah was sent to Israel with a message to return
to the Lord:
"Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say, 'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the LORD; 'I will not look upon you in anger. For I am gracious,' declares the LORD; 'I will not be angry forever. (Jer 3:12)
God's people had forsaken him by worshiping other gods:
"For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, The fountain of living waters, To hew for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns That can hold no water. (Jer 2:13)
The impact of this message was first reformational and then restorational.
He was sent to:
"... uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant" (Jer 1:10)
Four negatives followed by only two positives. The ministry and message of a prophet sometimes seems more negative than positive. Even so, it progresses from the reformational first (4 negatives) to the restorational ( 2 positives):
A destruction of idol strongholds - through deconstructing mindsets, systems, and structures that resist the intimate knowledge of God, and
A rebuilding of the 'dwelling place of God' - through obedience to the Great Commandment (to love the Lord your God) in all spheres of life, beginning at the individual level.
The reformational message of the prophet will disturb the status quo:
Let us examine and probe our ways, And let us return to the LORD. (Lam 3:40)
This work of prophetic probity will begin with the individual, moving to the church, city, and national levels, ultimately filling the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.
Our message, despite the historic failure of God's people, is one of
certainty and hope. The sons of God, the corporate Christ, will come to maturity. All things will be restored and the creation released from its bondage:
'I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the LORD; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart. (Jer 24:7)
until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. (Eph 4:13)
the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. (Rom 8:21)
And He answered and said,
"Elijah is coming and will restore all things (Mat 17:11)
And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them (Rev 21:3)
